The Quarry Life Award, HeidelbergCement’s scientific and education contest, is a success story and attracts hundreds of people from all over the world, willing to boost biodiversity in quarries.

For the 4th edition, which has been launched in 2017 and was executed in 2018, more than 300 proposals have been received. The juries had selected more than 110 projects from 25 countries that entered the competition either in the “community” or the “research” stream.
The project carried out their ideas during the research phase from January to September 2018 and competed simultaneously at national and international level. The winners were awarded on national and international level.
